Anne Hathaway Joins Christopher Nolan’s Sci-Fi Thriller INTERSTELLAR
Getting cast in a Christopher Nolan film is the gift that keeps on giving for an actor. Deadline is reporting that Anne Hathaway is set to reunite with the “Dark Knight Rises” director in his new sci-fi thriller “Interstellar.” She joins Matthew McConaughey, who was confirmed to lead the pic about a week ago, in the film that will “explore physicist Kip Thorne’s theories of gravity fields, wormholes and several hypotheses that Albert Einstein was never able to prove.” That synopsis is from IMDB but I don’t care I am salivating. Nolan is revising the script, which was penned by brother Jonathan, and actually replaced Steven Spielberg after he departed the picture.
There’s no information about who Hathaway will play or how big her role will be but I’m definitely happy with the casting choice. There’s a lot of hate being thrown towards her but I’ve always found her to be a compelling presence on screen and it’ll be great seeing her mix it up in the sci-fi genre. Interstellar is scheduled for release on November 7, 2014.
