Lionsgate has released a new hi-res image from Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire featuring a shirtless Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin) offering Katniss a cube of sugar. I don’t even know what to say about this photo. The studio has also unveiled yet another Quarter Quell poster, but unlike the previously released character sheets, this one features both Katniss & Peeta representing their home district in the 75th Annual Hunger Games.
In the book, Finnick is described as “extremely handsome, charismatic, muscular, with tan skin, and green eyes. A natural beauty, if you will.” Odair became famous at the age of fourteen when he competed in, and won, the 65th Annual Hunger Games.” Claflin, best known for his roles in both Snow White & the Huntsman and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, seems to fit the bill quite well here.
Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, and Amanda Plummer also star. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens on November 22nd.
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
