‘Community’ Season 4 Premiere Short Recap
I wasn’t planning on recapping the season four opener of Community. I try to keep this show to myself. I will continue to recap the season and see where the show goes from here. Community is a show many people feel very passionately about and it’s a show I have many, sometimes mixed, feelings about. I love the show, but it’s not the easiest to watch; it can be more taxing than entertaining. There are about a million recaps of tonight’s premiere, and most of them begin or end with “the show no longer feels the same”. Well, obviously, dumbass, the man who created the show, made it what it was is no longer there. So here’s what I have to say about the new Community/last night’s premiere:
It, obviously, feels very different. It wasn’t the greatest episode, but it had it’s moments (loved the Dean/Jeff moments, loved the previews for the fake Abed TV shows, wish the laugh track portion would’ve been left to just the show’s cold open). Other than that? It was just an okay episode of Community. Nothing more. Nothing less. Let’s accept the Harmon-less world of Community, for better or for worse.
