First Clip From Guillermo del Toro’s CRIMSON PEAK: “A Proper Welcome”
Here’s the first clip from Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming gothic romance/horror CRIMSON PEAK. Set in 19th Century Cumbria, the film centers on a young author who falls in love and marries Sir Thomas Sharpe (Hiddleston) but then discovers that her charming new husband is not who he appears to be. His home harbors ghostly, mysterious entities, which he and his sister, Lady Lucille Sharpe (Chastain), desperately and fiercely try to hide.
I spoke to someone who saw it recently and apparently it’s more of a kinky romance than a gothic horror. I’m very much looking forward to this one. Charlie Hunnam and Tom Hiddleston also star. Crimson Peak hits theaters October 16th. Thanks to Yahoo for the clip.
Legendary Pictures’ CRIMSON PEAK, a co-production with Universal Pictures, is a haunting gothic horror story directed by the master of dark fairy tales, Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy series, Pacific Rim), written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins and starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam. Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro and Callum Greene produce, and Jillian Share executive produces.
