Hans Zimmer is Scoring Christopher Nolan’s Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Interstellar’
Hans Zimmer (doing his best “Grace Face” in the photo above) will indeed be scoring Christopher Nolan’s upcoming sci-fi thriller Interstellar and has already begun writing some of the music. This marks the fifth collaboration between the composer and director, who have previously worked together on The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception & Man of Steel. Zimmer will be providing the music for the film that features “a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding.”
Zimmer also wrote some of the music for Inception before filming even began and that turned out pretty damn well so I’m definitely very happy about this development. Details on the film are still scarce but it will reportedly “explore physicist Kip Thorne’s theories of gravity fields, wormholes and several hypotheses that Albert Einstein was never able to prove.” Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, & Michael Caine star. Interstellar is scheduled for release on November 7, 2014.
