First Trailer For Jason Reitman’s ‘Labor Day’ Starring Kate Winslet & Josh Brolin
A wonderful first trailer for Jason Reitman’s (Thank You for Smoking, Up in the Air, Young Adult) upcoming drama Labor Day has been released online. Based on Joyce Maynard’s novel of the same name, the film centers on an “escaped convict (Josh Brolin) who takes shelter with the mentally fragile, reclusive single-mom Adele (Kate Winslet) and her almost-teenage son (Gattlin Griffith) over the course of one long late-summer holiday weekend in the mid-1980s.”
I saw the film a few months ago at TIFF and loved it. Reitman has crafted a quiet but highly emotional & moving film that features terrific performances by Winslet, Brolin & Griffith. Labor Day hits theaters December 25.
Check back for the theatrical trailer, which will be released sometime later today.
