Disney has released a new trailer for Gore Verbinski’s “The Lone Ranger.” The film centers on Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) as he recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice. The visuals look great and all but I’m finding it very difficult to muster up any sort of enthusiasm for this (perhaps it has something to do with Captain Jack Tonto and his faux English accent along with Helena Bonham Carter who’s still in character as Madame Thénardier).
Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson, and Helena Bonham Carter co-star. The Lone Ranger opens July 3, 2013.
