Luke Evans to Lead ‘The Crow’ Remake
Luke Evans is set to star as Eric Draven in F. Javier Gutierrez’s remake of (Dwight Schrute’s favourite movie) The Crow. It’s great being reminded on a daily basis of how creative and original Hollywood is. Relativity Media delayed the start of production for Evans’ schedule to clear up since the talented actor had already been cast as Bard the Bowman in the next two Hobbit films as well as Dracula in Gary Shore’s Dracula: Year Zero.
Evans reportedly beat out Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers), James McAvoy, and Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) to land the lead role of Draven, a rock musician who is revived from the dead to avenge his own murder, as well as that of his fiancée. Based on the 1989 comic book of the same name by James O’Barr, the film will star production early next year. Evans next appears as the villain in both No One Lives and Fast & Furious 6.
