Paramount Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for writer/director Darren Aronofksy’s (Noah, Black Swan) upcoming thriller mother!. The film, which stars Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem, centers on a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. The film will compete for the Golden Lion at the 74th Venice International Film Festival and is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 15, 2017.

Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Harris, Kristen Wiig, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian Gleeson, Stefan Simchowitz, Jovan Adepo, Robert Higden, Amanda Warren, Eric Davis, Marcia jean Kurtz and Mizinga Mwinga also star. The full trailer will be released August 8.
