A new featurette for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel has been released and it highlights how the incredible visual effects artists at Weta Digital used fluid simulation technology to bring the film’s “liquid-geo” displays to life. “Basically, it’s a bunch of silver beads that are suspended through a magnetic field, and the machine is able to control that magnetic field so that the collection of beads behave almost like three-dimensional pixels,” said Weta’s visual effects supervisor Dan Lemmon. The clip is definitely worth a watch so check it out below.
