Yes! Another day, another excuse to use the term “biblical epic.” Paramount has released a new IMAX poster for Darren Aronofksy’s (The Fountain, Black Swan) upcoming film NOAH. Is this really the best they could come up with? “Hey, let’s change the colour from blue to grey. Looks great!” The film is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark & is also based on the graphic novel created by Darren Aronofsky, Ari Handel, and artist Niko Henrichon. Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Connelly, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, and Ray Winstone also star. Noah opens in theaters March 28, 2014. Read more →

The studio is finally bringing in the big guns to sell this movie. And by “big guns” I mean Emma Watson. Not only do we get a lovely and charming and funny and overall perfect introduction from Emma (Miss Watson if you’re nasty) herself, we also get to see and hear more from her character Ila in this new trailer. “Hi! Do you have time to talk about the Lord?” Unless your name is Emma Watson and you previously starred in the Harry Potter films, then no. Paramount has released a new international trailer and TV spot for their favourite director’s Darren Aronofksy’s upcoming biblical epic NOAH. Based on a story I’ve never read that’s found in a book of I’ve never read, Noah centers on a man who suffers visions of an apocalyptic deluge and takes measures to protect his family from the coming flood. I really do hope this turns out well, mainly for the sake of Jennifer Connelly & Russell Crowe (ya’ll see Winter’s Tale? Never forget.) Read more →
Paramount has released a new character poster for Darren Aronofksy’s upcoming film Noah featuring Anthony Hopkins looking as bored as humanly possible. Based on a graphic novel created by Aronofsky, Ari Handel, and artist Niko Henrichon, (oh and apparently it’s based on the biblical story of Noah’s Ark) the film centers on a man who suffers visions of an apocalyptic deluge and takes measures to protect his family from the coming flood. I don’t understand why these posters so uninspired. Floating heads over distorted-looking CGI scenery.. sorry, but you can do way better. On the bright side, Emma looks like she just woke up from an amazing nap. Very jealous. Read more →
Here’s our first look at Ray Winstone on the set of Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming biblical epic NOAH. Winstone takes on the role of Noah’s (Russell Crowe) evil nemesis but that’s all we know so far. He doesn’t look like Satan so we can cross that one out. The film is a partial re-telling of the Bible story of Noah’s Ark and is based on a graphic novel created by Aronofsky, Ari Handel, and artist Niko Henrichon. Russell Crowe, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, and Logan Lerman also star. Read more →
