Watch the Alternate Opening to THE AVENGERS
Dammit Marvel, are you going to release every single extra from the blu-ray/dvd of The Avengers before it’s even released? I shouldn’t complain because in this new deleted scene we get to see a pretty interesting alternate opening to the film. It’s a far more somber opening than the one Joss went with as it features Robin Scherbatsky Agent Maria Hill being questioned about the events that transpired in the film’s finale, complete with flashbacks showing a destroyed city with solemn music playing in the background. While it’s a great extra, I’m glad Whedon decided against it as it conveys a starkly different tone that wouldn’t really be found in the rest of the film.
The Avengers hits Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download on September 25th. Clip courtes of Yahoo!
