Trailer for MEADOWLAND: Olivia Wilde & Luke Wilson Deal With Tragic Loss
The first trailer for Reed Morano’s upcoming directorial debut Meadowland has been released. Written by Chris Rossi, the film centers on a married couple (Olivia Wilde & Luke Wilson) dealing with unimaginable tragedy in their own respective ways.
I’m thinking of organizing a double feature of Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby & Meadowland in a couple of weeks so let me know if you’re interested ASAP because it is guaranteed to be one of the most depressing events of the year! But in all seriousness, this looks fantastic and I’m really looking forward to seeing yet another impressive performance from Wilde. Elisabeth Moss, Giovanni Ribisi, John Leguizamo, Ty Simpkins, Kevin Corrigan and Merritt Wever also star. The film will be available via On Demand beginning October 23.
In the hazy aftermath of an unimaginable loss, married couple Sarah (Olivia Wilde, Rush) and Phil (Luke Wilson, The Skeleton Twins) come unhinged, recklessly ignoring the repercussions. Phil, a New York City cop, starts to lose sight of his morals as Sarah puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations, falling deeper into her own fever dream. The directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano, MEADOWLAND is a visceral exploration of grief and hope. Featuring Giovanni Ribisi, Elisabeth Moss, Ty Simpkins, John Leguizamo, Kevin Corrigan and Merritt Wever.
