New Four Minute Trailer for ‘White House Down’ Starring Channing Tatum & Jamie Foxx
A four-minute trailer for Roland Emmerich’s White House Down has been released (a.k.a the film where Channing Tatum plays the father of a 15 year old girl). The story centers on a secret service agent who is tasked with saving the life of the U.S. President (Foxx) after the White House is overtaken by a paramilitary group. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins, James Woods, Rachelle Lefevre, Lance Reddick, and Garcelle Beauvais. White House Down hits theaters on June 28th, 2013.
This looks equal parts entertaining and lame but it seems take on a much lighter tone than Olympus Has Fallen, a film a really enjoyed, so I’m definitely interested in seeing how it plays out. I am slightly worried about some of the CGI shown here though but hopefully the chemistry between Foxx & Tatum is strong enough to make this worthwhile. Note: Channing Tatum does not like it when you put your rocket launcher in his face.
Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.
