Léa Seydoux Offered Female Lead in Rupert Wyatt’s GAMBIT
Léa (accent aigu, bitch!) Seydoux has reportedly been offered the lead female role of Bella Donna Boudreaux in Rupert Wyatt’s upcoming X-Men spinoff GAMBIT. Rebecca Ferguson (Rogue Nation) and Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road) were previously in the running, with the former accepting a role alongside Emily Blunt in The Girl on the Train instead.
If Seydoux accepts, she’ll be starring alongside Channing Tatum who is set to play Remy LeBeau/Gambit. Here’s bit of background info on Bella Donna (Ms. Boudreaux if you’re nasty): She is the granddaughter of the head Assassin and a love interest of Gambit. She is also a mutant! Bella Donna can project astral form from her body and is capable of plasma blasts. She also has the ability to rip Adele’s heart to shreds. Anyway, I still have infinite tenderness for Léa and I’d be happy to see her star in this.
Gambit is scheduled for release October 7, 2016. Léa can next be seen in Sam Mendes’ Spectre.
