Hugh Jackman Officially Signs on for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Director Bryan Singer has just announced (via his Twitter of course) that Hugh Jackman is officially on board for X-Men: Days of Future Past. It’s not exactly the biggest surprise in the world considering other castmembers of the original trilogy (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan) have already signed on for the flick, but it’s good news nonetheless. Jackman had the best cameo in First Class and I was hoping he’d make another one in Future Past shouting a different profanity but I suppose I’ll settle for this.
X-Men: Days of Future Past “will straddle the 1960s setting established in 2011’s X-Men: First Class and the future of the original trilogy, where mutants are a hunted minority.” James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult are all set to reprise their roles. Fox hopes to release the sequel on July 18, 2014.
