Weekend Box Office: The Dark Knight Rises makes it three in a row, Total Recall struggles
Len Wiseman’s TOTAL FECAL RECALL debuted in the #2 spot at the box office this weekend with a soft $26 million, trailing behind The Dark Knight Rises’ third weekend take of an estimated $36.5M. Total Recall, a $125 million (yeah, sure) remake/”reimagining” of Paul Verhoeven’s 1990 flick of the same name (based on Philip K. Dick’s short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale,”) was met with a lackluster response by both critics and audiences. The only other wide release was Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, the third instalment in the franchise, which opened with a soft $14.6M. Bring on Bourne Legacy please. Top 10 after the jump!
