New “Villains” Featurette for ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ Starring Eva Green & Rodrigo Santoro (With HD Stills)
“Dammit Xerxes, is my eyeliner even or not?” A new “villains” featurette for Noam Murro’s upcoming film 300: Rise of an Empire has been released and it focuses on Eva Green’s Artemisia & Rodrigo Santoro’s Xerxes. In the follow-up to Zack Snyder’s 300, Themistocles battles an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes. Rise of an Empire hits theaters March 7, 2013.
In this video we get to see Artemisia do some really cool head turns, pull Themistocles’ hair, and eat an apple while sitting spread-eagle. “One time Artemisia slit my throat… it was awesome.”
Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel “Xerxes” and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. “300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemesia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
