First Teaser for Spike Lee’s Fantastic Michael Jackson Documentary BAD 25
Here’s the first teaser for Spike Lee’s upcoming Michael Jackson documentary BAD 25. I saw it on the last day of TIFF in September and I absolutely loved it. It features incredible behind-the-scenes footage of not only the studio process, but also the making of his iconic music videos. The doc is intercut with some great interviews of some of the most influential figures in the music industry as well (minus Justin Bieber and Chris Brown – people groaned and laughed when they came on screen).
It’s going to be shown on ABC but really deserves to be seen on the big screen. If Never Say Never, Glee 3D (although no one went to that), and Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience managed to open in theaters, it seems absolutely crazy that this truly great doc won’t have the same opportunity. It’s still a fantastic watch so be sure to check it out when it airs Thanksgiving night on ABC.
Spike Lee pays tribute to Michael Jackson’s Bad on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the epochal album, offering behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson recording the album and interviews with confidants, musicians, choreographers, and such music-world superstars as Kanye West, Sheryl Crow, Cee Lo Green and Mariah Carey.
