Two Clips from Palme d’Or Winner ‘Blue is the Warmest Colour’ Starring Léa Seydoux & Adèle Exarchopoulos
Two clips from Abdellatif Kechiche’s lesbian coming-of-age drama Blue is the Warmest Colour (La Vie d’Adèle – chapitre 1 & 2) have been released. The film wowed audiences at the Cannes Film Festival last week and beat out the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis to take home the prestigious Palme d’Or. Loosely based on Julie Maroh’s graphic novel “Le Bleu Est une Couleur Chaude,” the film centers on a 15-year-old whose life is turned upside down when she meets Emma (Léa Seydoux), a blue-haired young woman, who allows her to discover desire and to assert herself as a woman and an adult.
