First Poster for Alfonso Cuaron’s ‘Gravity’ Starring Sandra Bullock & George Clooney
Warner Bros. has released a stunning first poster for Alfonso Cuaron’s upcoming sci-fi film Gravity starring Sandra Bullock & George Clooney. We just saw a couple seconds worth of footage from the movie a few hours ago with a brief preview from Entertainment Tonight (who always manage to ruin everything) but we’ll get our first real good look at the long-awaited film tomorrow with the release of its full tease trailer. .
Gravity centers on an astronaut who attempts to make her way back to Earth after a satellite crash sets off a chain reaction of further crashes. It’s an incredibly ambitious film that features a 20 minute uncut opening sequence, is composed of 60% CGI & only stars two actors. I will be first in line. The film hits theaters October 4.
Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
