Michael Caine Joins Christopher Nolan’s Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Interstellar’
In a surprise to absolutely no one, Michael Caine has joined Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller Interstellar. He’ll be starring alongside Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain in the film that features “a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding.” This marks the sixth collaboration between the filmmaker and actor, who have previously worked together in The Dark Knight trilogy, The Prestige, & Inception. Again, getting cast in a Nolan film is the gift that keep on giving.
There are no details available on any of the characters but the film will reportedly “explore physicist Kip Thorne’s theories of gravity fields, wormholes and several hypotheses that Albert Einstein was never able to prove.” I’m not Miss Cleo but I have a feeling Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, and Marion Cotillard will also join the big budget sci-fi in the near future. Interstellar is scheduled for release on November 7, 2014.
