New Trailer and Poster for Luis Prieto’s PUSHER Remake
A new trailer and poster for Luis Prieto’s crime thriller PUSHER have been released. An English-language remake of Nicholas Winding Refn’s 1996 Danish cult classic of the same name, the film is about a big-time London drug dealer whose life spins out of control over the course of a chaotic week. Pusher played at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival but I didn’t have any desire to include it in my schedule. I’m a fan of the original film series and this just feels like a completely unnecessary remake. Richard Coyle, Bronson Webb, and Agyness Deyn round out the principal cast. Pusher will be available VOD and iTunes on September 28th before being released in theaters on October 26th. Trailer courtesy of Apple.
Based on the edgy and explosive series by visionary director Nicolas Winding Refn (DRIVE), PUSHER stars Richard Coyle as a drug dealer who grows increasingly desperate over the course of a week after a botched deal lands him in the merciless clutches of a ruthless crime lord. The more desperate his behavior, the more isolated he becomes until there is nothing left standing between him and the bullet his debtors intend to fire his way.
