New Poster & Clip From THE HEAT Starring Sandra Bullock & Melissa McCarthy
A new poster and clip from Paul Feig’s upcoming action/comedy THE HEAT have been released. The film centers on an uptight FBI special agent (Sandra Bullock) who teams up with a testy Boston cop (Melissa McCarthy) in order to take down a ruthless drug lord. The clip is seriously hilarious you guys. I’m kidding, I can’t watch it because I’m an “international” user. Demian Bichir, Tony Hale, Taran Killam, Katilin Olson, and Michael Rapaport also star. The Heat opens in theaters on April 5, 2013.
I caught the film at an early screening and enjoyed it. It’s not on the same level as Feig’s Bridesmaids, 21 Jump Street, or any of the early Apatow flicks, but it’s worthwhile thanks to the pairing of McCarthy & Bullock. Definitely worth checking out.
Uptight and straight-laced, FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a methodical investigator with a reputation for excellence–and hyper-arrogance. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy), one of Boston P.D.’s “finest,” is foul-mouthed and has a very short fuse, and uses her gut instinct and street smarts to catch the most elusive criminals. Neither has ever had a partner, or a friend for that matter. When these two wildly incompatible law officers join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies. From Paul Feig, the director of “Bridesmaids.”
