TIFF 2013: Trailer For Sean Durkin’s ‘Southcliffe’ Starring Eddie Marsan & Rory Kinnear
The first trailer for Sean Durkin’s (Martha Marcy May Marlene) four-part dramatic series Southcliffe has been released. Written by acclaimed British television writer Tony Grisoni, the film tells the “tragic tale of a sleepy little English market town turned upside down when one of its little-liked residents turns his guns on his fellow citizens.” Southcliffe will have its international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Kaya Scodelario, Rory Kinnear, Sean Harris, Shirley Henderson, Anatol Yusef, and Eddie Marsan star.
A sudden inexplicable spate of shootings rips through the market town of Southcliffe. The lives of those left behind are torn apart. In this haunting drama a journalist reporting on the tragedy finds himself back in the small town he grew up in, looking for answers from the shattered community whilst trying to reconcile the dark events from his own past.
